W.E 13.12.24 It's Christmas!

We're starting to feel very festive in Dosbarth Llwynog now!
Rehearsals for our carol concert are in full swing, and even if we do say so ourselves, it's sounding great.
We're excited to share the festivities with you on Tuesday 17th December at 2pm and again at 5pm.
Children need to wear festive jumpers/tops/dresses. Please could children return to school for 4:45pm for the evening's performance.
Outside of our rehearsals, we have been learning about other winter festivals, such as Hanukkah. In English, we are learning how to write formal letters. One outcome of our enquiry is that we were all shocked to learn that although child labour stopped in the UK after the industrial revolution, it has not stopped everywhere. Some children still have to work instead of access their education and this contravenes the UNCRC.
We are drafting letters to our MP about this issue and hope to send them to him next week. Fingers crossed for a reply. We are developing as ethical and informed citizens in Dosbarth Llwynog, and we know that our voice matters!
