Whispers of the Waves

This week in Year 3, we have completed our second writing journey of this term. We wrote poems about the ocean! We included some tricky vocabulary in our writing, and we had to ensure that we used verbs, adverbs, alliteration, adjectives and rhyming words in our work.

Here is an example of one of our fantastic poems:

The soft dolphins splash quickly and every day they grow and put on a show.

Glistening turtles paddle dreamily, but they don't break their habitats because they are kind in their beautiful mind.

Dancing dolphins leap like they are a ballerina trying to act sweet, dancing to a beat.

Wondrous sea turtles and dancing dolphins play, but when pollution comes it ruins their game and they run away.

We also completed our in-class competition tasks for the Eisteddfod. We wrote poems, using our best handwriting, and we created artwork inspired by Graham Brace, a Welsh landscape and seascape artist.
