Another busy week!

This week has been full of exciting learning in our class! We went on a walk around our local village, where we spotted important landmarks and beautiful landscapes. We sketched and took photos to use in our artwork back in school.

In literacy, we continued our writing journey by planning our letters, thinking carefully about what we want to say and how to structure our ideas. We also developed our IT skills by beginning to create our very own PowerPoint presentations—learning how to add text, pictures, and even some creative designs.

Finally, we have been practising for our Harvest celebration, learning songs and preparing to share the importance of thankfulness with our friends and families.

It has been a busy and creative week of learning!

Next week our learning will be all about Harvest.  We will be discovering where our food comes from and learning the difference between food that is grown locally and food that is imported from other countries.

In art, we’ll be creating colourful harvest collages to celebrate the season, and in drama we will have the chance to bring stories to life by creating and performing our very own plays based on a harvest tale.
