๐ Pili Palaโs Pirate Adventures Continue! ๐ดโโ ๏ธ

What an exciting week it’s been in Pili Pala as we’ve continued our learning journey all about pirates! The children have been fully immersed in imaginative play, storytelling, and creative exploration — it’s been wonderful to see their curiosity and teamwork shining through.
๐ข Building Pirate Ships
Our young pirates have been busy designing and building their very own ships, experimenting with different materials and ideas to make sure their vessels are sturdy enough to sail the seven seas (or at least across the classroom!). This has sparked brilliant conversations about floating, sinking, and working together to solve problems.
๐ The Story of The Night Pirates
We’ve loved sharing the story The Night Pirates by Peter Harris and Deborah Allwright. The children joined in retelling parts of the story, acting out their favourite scenes, and imagining what adventures they might go on if they were night-time pirates too!
๐ดโ ๏ธ Making Pirate Flags
Our creativity has been on full display as the children designed and made their own pirate flags. Each flag was unique — some fearsome, some funny — and all full of personality! The children thought carefully about shapes, symbols, and colours that would make their flags stand out.
๐ณ Outdoor Adventures
We’ve been making the most of our outdoor provision, turning the yard into our own pirate island!
Next Week we will be making pirate chests. Please could the children bring in an empty egg box.
