Week Beginning 7th April 2025

What a Wonderful World 🌎 💚

What a fantastic and busy week we’ve had! After all the excitement and anticipation, our Sustainability Summit finally arrived, and what a special event it was. The children poured their hearts into their song and video, creating a performance that touched everyone’s hearts. We are so proud of how passionately they shared their learning about caring for our planet. You will have also seen the children’s handwritten and typed leaflets proudly on display during our Jump Out Afternoon, raising awareness about endangered animals and how we can help protect them. Their hard work and dedication truly shone through!

To celebrate the season, we’ve also been busy with some Easter and Spring crafts. The children loved shaping salt dough into eggs and decorating them.

With the sunshine making an appearance, we took our maths learning outdoors, practising number recognition and formation using water and paintbrushes - a fun and engaging way to build confidence with numbers. If you’d like to continue this at home, all you need is a paintbrush and some water!

Our enhanced provision has been all about animals and habitats. In the writing area, the children created missing posters for animals that had escaped from our role-play rescue centre, carefully choosing adjectives to describe what they looked like. Exploring the outdoor areas of Llangan, we spotted different minibeast habitats in our school grounds, discovering where tiny creatures like to live and hide. In the creative area, the children used mixed media to create stunning garden habitat pictures, bringing nature to life through art.

The Pili-Pala team would like to wish everyone a wonderful holiday! We hope the sunshine sticks around for you to enjoy your break, and we can’t wait to hear all about your adventures when you return to school! 🐰🌼
