The children have been busy using their creativity and teamwork skills to make a 3D model of our village. They thought carefully about the different buildings and landmarks and worked together to bring our community to life in miniature form. We also enjoyed exploring our school grounds, noticing our polytunnel, herb garden and our outdoor classroom. 

Looking ahead to next week, our focus will turn to all things harvest. We’ll be reading the story Oliver’s Vegetables, using it as a springboard to learn more about where our food comes from and the importance of eating a variety of healthy foods.

Our new sound of the week will be ‘a’, and the children will be exploring this sound in lots of fun and practical ways. You might like to see if they can spot the ‘a’ sound in signs, books, or even labels on food at home!

Our Harvest Festival will be taking place on Friday.
